Two end of year trips

Monday, November 15th, 2010

The Thanksgiving trip will be to Santa Barbara and Ventura. I have booked the hotels. Will try Channel Islands NP on this trip to Ventura. May need to find out if Islands Peckers has the trip schedule on Saturday for this.

Another trip is the Christmas trip to Los Angeles and San Diego. Need to buy all the show/tourism tickets before hand. Now debating on what attractions should we go. Need to settle down this soon so that the hotels can be booked.

Both will be road trips.

Bid for 6320 Island Pine Way, San Jose, CA 95119 is accepted by the seller. From now on, we will wait for their bank’s appraisal and see if the price is still close to $300,000 we offered. It may take 3 to 6 months to close such purchase. We will see.

On the other hand, the lease renewal for current apartment is needed as well. The lease agreement says that if termination before the lease term, $500 should be paid for the cost of remarketing. Not sure if we need to pay for the monthly rents before the apartment is rented out. Need to figure out this with the leasing office, before Nov 25.

The letter came in today. For a 9 months term, the monthly rent will be $1425.00, a $65.00 per month increase. Need to talk to the management if they can lower the price a little bit, and/or if they offer a 12 months term. Certainly for a one bedroom apartment, this is high. But I am also tired of moving. And I don’t know if we can buy a condo/townhouse soon.

Long time

Has been a long time to write the dairy again. The doctor called this morning to cancel Jane’s appointment. It is unbelievable that they did not call yesterday. Made another appointment for next Wednesday.

About the medicine to lower the LDL, the blood test early this month shows that the LDL has been reduced a lot to within the normal range. The ALT is now higher than normal. So I decided not to take the medicine any more. May need to call Dr. Mao to discuss this.
